Question:

84 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has for changes in land law and conveyancing law. [1954/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 83 and 84 together.

The Law Reform Commission has produced five reports on land law and conveyancing law, one of which recommends the introduction of a system of enduring powers of attorney.

Legislation to give effect to that report is in an advanced state of preparation.

The question of implementing the other reports will be taken up as soon as current legislative projects have been completed.
