81 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance if he will make provision in the 1995 budget to extend full personal tax allowance to farmers and the self-employed, similar to the additional £800 PAYE allowance which PAYE tax payers receive; if the PRSI allowance of £286 will be extended; his views on whether such provisions are necessary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The proposal put forward by the Deputy is but one of many similar proposals put before me by representatives of the groups referred to in the question in their pre-budget submissions. I wish to assure the Deputy that the proposals are being considered in the context of the forthcoming budget.
