85 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Health further to his reply to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 20, 40, 47 and 74 of 26 January, 1995, regarding screening of health care workers, if he will indicate the names of the advisory group mentioned, its terms of reference and reporting date. [4673/95]

Limerick East): The Advisory Group on the Transmission of Infectious Diseases has been set up under the chairmanship of Dr. Niall Tierney, Chief Medical Officer of my Department. The terms of reference for the group are “To advise the Minister for Health regarding the prevention of the transmission of infectious disease in healthcare settings”. The membership of the group is

Dr. James Kiely, Department of Health.

Mr. Brendan Phelan, Department of Health.

Professor J. Stephen Doyle, Medical Council.

Professor Nollaig A. Parfrey, UCD.

Dr. Gerard Sheehan, Mater Hospital.

Dr. Bartley Cryan, Cork University Hospital.

Dr. Geoffrey de Freitas, Limerick Regional Hospital.

Dr. Sheila Ryan, North-Eastern Health Board.

Mr. Pat Gaughan, North-Western Health Board.

Dr. John Malone, CMO, Civil Service.

Mr. Liam Dunbar, St. James's Hospital.

The IMO have been requested to forward the names of three nominees to join the group. I have asked the group to report to me as a matter of urgency.
