60 Mr. Gregory asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make representation to the British Authorities regarding the treatment by the RUC Special Branch of a person (details supplied) in County Tyrone; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4644/95]
I have raised the allegations of ill-treatment supplied by the Deputy with the British Government through the framework of the Anglo-Irish Secretariat.
I have constantly emphasised in my discussion with the British Government the priority of ensuring that the security forces act, and be seen to act, at all times within the law and with restraint.
