Vol. 450 No. 2

Written Answers. - Fourth Action Programme.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

52 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the proposals, if any, he has to present plans to the EU Commission in connection with the Fourth Action Programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4814/95]

The Commission of the European Union is responsible for drawing up the draft Fourth Action Programme for the five year period 1996-2000. I understand that the Commission hopes to finalise the draft document in June 1995 and at that stage to consult with member states on its contents. I will respond at that stage to any invitation to submit observations or proposals on the draft programme.
