47 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a submission from the taxi groups using Dublin Airport, for a 50p per journey increase to cover charges imposed by Aer Rianta; the percentage of taxis using the airport that are covered by the submission; when he expects to make a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have received an application from organisations representing taxi operators for a 50p increase in the pickup charge at Dublin Airport. The organisations in question claim to represent the vast majority of taxi operators in the Dublin Taximeter area. I will make a decision on the request as soon as possible.
