The report of the Efficiency Audit Group has yet to be considered by the Government and no decisions have been taken affecting the future of the personnel referred to by the Deputy.
142 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Defence if he will introduce an early retirement scheme for civilian employees in Army barracks around the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6453/95]
Civilian employees engaged with the Defence Forces generally have the same conditions of service as apply to State industrial employees of Government Departments. There are no proposals at present in the Department of Defence to introduce an early retirement scheme for such employees.
