12 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence the efforts, if any, that are being made under section 12 of the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act, 1989, to bring safety statements to the notice of FCA personnel; and if any record is available to show that any FCA personnel have full knowledge of the safety statement for their own unit. I am informed by the military authorities that in accordance with section 12 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 safety statements have been prepared and are now in place in all units and sub-units of An Forsa Cosanta Áitiúil. Members of the FCA have ready access to the statements and any views that they may express in regard to health, safety and welfare matters are given full consideration.
