Vol. 451 No. 6

Written Answers. - Leinster House Air Conditioning System.

Godfrey Timmins

Question:

20 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are defects in the air conditioning system in Leinster House; and the plans, if any, he has to rectify this problem. [6939/95]

There is a number of air conditioning systems in Leinster House and it is unclear to which system the Deputy refers. The Commissioners of Public Works have informed me that following refurbishment of the air conditioning system in the five storey office block last year some initial commissioning problems were experienced. These problems were substantially rectified before the end of the year.

Two further isolated complaints were received recently and both problems have been rectified. The commissioners are satisfied that all air conditioning systems in the complex are now operating effectively.
