167 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if third-level students in private colleges will be granted tax relief on fees paid for the academic year 1995-1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7463/95]

Questions relating to tax relief are a matter in the first instance for the Minister for Finance. The Minister for Finance in his budget speech stated that provision will be made for such tax relief in respect of approved courses for the academic year 1996-97.
