Vol. 452 No. 1

Written Answers. - Oldcastle (Meath) School.

Colm M. Hilliard

Question:

57 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Education when she will approve the application for the extension to Saint Oliver's post primary school, Oldcastle, County Meath; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7765/95]

An extension to the metalwork room at this school is at tender stage. Subject to County Meath Vocational Education Committee confirming that a number of amendments have been made to the tender documentation my Department will authorise the invitation of tenders. The project will be considered for inclusion in the capital programme in due course in the context of all the relevant building, educational and financial factors.

Following a request for the provision of a number of additional facilities at the school County Meath Vocational Education Committee has been requested to submit a formal application. When this application is received the accommodation requirements of the school will be assessed.
