Vol. 452 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Cork Schools.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

53 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the capital cost of the repair and refurbishment of a school (details supplied) in County Cork; the floor area of the new development; and the amount of the grant allocated from her Department. [7758/95]

A building project at the school referred to by the Deputy has recently been included in the 1995 National Schools Capital Programme and within that programme will be progressed as quickly as possible through the various planning and construction stages. A decision on the timing of the tender/contract process will be made in due course in the light of resources and competing priorities.

As the project is at the initial stages of architectural planning it is not yet possible to provide precise details of the floor area and the amount of grant-aid as requested by the Deputy.
