59 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health when he intends launching the promised Health Strategy for Women; if he has delayed the publication of a recommended document in this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7799/95]
Limerick East): A discussion document on women's health is at an advanced stage of preparation in my Department and will be published shortly.
This document will form the basis for consultation with all those interested in improving the health and welfare of Irish women including women's groups, health and personal social service professionals, health boards and hospitals.
Following this intensive consultative process, the Government will publish a plan for the development of health services for women in accordance with the commitment given in A Government of Renewal.
