Vol. 452 No. 2

Written Answers. - Mayo Water Scheme.

Michael Ring

Question:

93 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment the reason his Department has requested that the north coast water scheme, County Mayo, be redesigned in view of the fact that this will be the third time it has been redesigned. [7795/95]

My Department is currently reviewing the plans and design data for this scheme in the context of assessing its possible inclusion for assistance under the environmental services operational programme. A minor, but necessary, design modification has been notified to the group arising from this review. It will be possible to undertake this in conjunction with the preparation of contract documents for the scheme.
