Question:

76 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Taoiseach the number of people currently working in Ireland; and if he will give a breakdown of the numbers in full-time and part-time employment. [7821/95]

The estimated number of persons at work, according to the April 1994 Labour Force Survey, was 1,176,000. Figures for part-time workers in 1994 will be available when the full 1994 Labour Force Survey results are published in June of this year.

The most recent figures available on part-time and full-time employment relate to April 1993, and are given in the following table:
