34 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance when the new schemes relating to a £1,000 grant for new cars replacing ten year old ones and a tax allowance for those in private rented accommodation as announced in the budget will become operative. [8436/95]
The Finance Bill, currently being considered by the Select Committee on Finance and General Affairs, provides that the new scheme relating to a £1000 grant for new cars replacing ten year old ones will become operative on 1 July 1995 and that a tax allowance for those in private rented accommodation is operative from 6 April 1995.
