Vol. 452 No. 7

Written Answers. - Douglas (Cork) Garda Station.

Batt O'Keeffe

Question:

28 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice when she intends to provide funding to permit the building of the Garda station in Douglas to commence. [8280/95]

It is proposed to build a new Garda Station in Douglas, Cork on a site purchased for this purpose.

A sketch scheme drawn up by the Office of Public Works has been received and is presently being examined by the Garda authorities. It is not possible at this stage to say precisely when work will commence on this project. However, Douglas has a high priority on the Garda Building Programme list.
