126 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for the Marine when he intends to provide finance for the reconstruction of a pier (details supplied) in County Galway to enable local fishermen to pursue their livelihood in safety. [9484/95]
An Roinn Ealaíon, Cultúir agus Gaeltachta has recently authorised the Department of the Marine to carry out on an agency basis a hydrographic survey in order to draw up an outline design for the reconstruction of Rosmuc pier. The survey will take place in the very near future. When the costed design is ready it will be passed to An Roinn Ealaíon, Cultúir agus Gaeltachta and the pier users for their input and possible modifications.
