Vol. 453 No. 7

Written Answers. - Passport Application

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

67 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive a passport in view of the fact that she is hoping to travel to Lourdes on 1 June 1995. [10021/95]

This application was incomplete when submitted — it was not accompanied by either a birth certificate or a marriage certificate — essential documents for the issue of a passport in the form sought.

As the applicant is scheduled to travel in early June, the Passport Office offered to issue a passport of restricted validity. A passport was issued immediately on acceptance of this offer on 25 May 1995.
