Written Answers. - Caherfinisker (Galway) Group Water Scheme.
This scheme is not financially viable on the basis of group members' contributions and matching group water scheme grants from my Department. The proposal is, therefore, being examined with a view to possible assistance under the Operational Programme for Environmental Services: this can provide funding for certain large-scale group schemes which are essential for the development of rural areas.
A decision in relation to the proposal will be made as soon as possible.
