Question:

62 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the type of offence in respect of which the highest increase was recorded in the Dublin Metropolitan Area in the last 12 months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10282/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 61 and 62 together.

Information in relation to crime figures for the Dublin Metropolitan Area (DMA) are published in the Annual Report on Crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The report for 1994 will be published shortly. The most common offences recorded within the DMA over the last five years are burglary and larceny from unattended motor vehicles.
