Question:

93 Mr. Mulvihill asked the Minister for Finance the projects and the amounts of money which have already received approval for lottery funding for which the funding has not yet been paid. [10895/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 91, 92 and 93 together.

While, as Minister for Finance, I have overall responsibility for the national lottery, the operation of the various national lottery funded programmes is a matter for each of the spending Ministers concerned.

In my own Department's case, the one activity to be funded by the national lottery in 1995 is Gaeleagras na Seirbhíse Poiblí which operates through its headquarters in Dublin and also runs a number of courses in Gaeltacht counties. The amount of money provided in the 1995 revised estimates volume for this particular purpose is £110,000. The amount paid to Gaeleagras up to 12 June 1995 is £26,282.60.

The amount of money provided in the revised estimates for each of the years 1991 to 1994 for Gaeleagras was as follows:

1991

£ 82,000

1992

£ 86,000

1993

£100,000

1994

£100,000

The actual amounts disbursed for each of the years 1990 to 1994 were as follows:

1990

£115,434

1991

£ 71,202

1992

£ 85,677

1993

£ 99,637

1994

£ 97,962

In so far as my Department is concerned, the only other activity which has been funded by the national lottery during the years in question was the Irish Institute for European Affairs in Louvain. This institute was paid a "once-off" grant of £250,000 in 1992.
