149 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education the areas within her Department's remit in which savings will be made in order to comply with the recent request from the Minister for Finance to effect savings in her Department. [11410/95]
My Department is currently engaged in reviewing the education programmes funded from the education Group of Votes and is determining the financial allocations required in 1996 to maintain the quality of our educational services.
In undertaking this review of educational expenditure and in estimating the 1996 budgetary requirements for education my Department will comply fully with the Government's overall budgetary strategy as announced by the Minister for Finance.
