196 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will make representation to the European Commission to amend the parameters of the butter voucher scheme along the lines set out in parliamentary question No. 123 of 30 May 1995 by Deputy Callely; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As indicated in my reply of 30 May 1995 the scheme in question is part of the market support arrangements in the milk sector. In view of this, there is little prospect of the European Commission agreeing to include under the scheme any products which are effectively in competition with butter.
