50 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proposals, if any, he has to prevent a recurrence of recent serious farm pollution incidents such as occurred recently in rivers in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11249/95]

While my Department assists farmers to provide waste storage facilities, the management and disposal of farm wastes is the responsibility of farmers. Advice and guidance in this regard is provided by Teagasc and the local authorities.
