Vol. 454 No. 6

Written Answers. - Laois Housing Programme.

Liam Hyland

Question:

126 Mr. Hyland asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make additional funding available to Laois County Council for the purpose of dealing with applicants for maisonette accommodation, some of whom have been on the waiting list for over three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11178/95]

Laois County Council were notified on 23 February last of their authorised housing starts for 1995 (a total of 45) and on 23 March of their capital allocation of some £2 million for the year. It is a matter for the council to decide the details of their housing programme within these allocations.
