39 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has received the results of the independent survey which his Department commissioned on the Rossaveal ferry service which provides a service from Rossaveal to the Aran Islands, including an evaluation of the best way the transport needs of the islands can be met; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I previously indicated to the House, in order to establish more precisely the passenger transport requirements between the Aran Islands and Rossaveal, my Department has commissioned a short independent study of the Rossaveal, my vice including an evaluation of how best the transport needs of the islands can be met. The study is under way and it is expected that it will be completed shortly.
