Vol. 454 No. 7

Written Answers. - Proposed Second Airport in Dublin.

Pat Upton

Question:

84 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the Government's policy in relation to the proposal to build a second airport in Dublin. [11493/95]

The need for a second airport at Dublin would fall to be examined by the Government in the context of existing and projected traffic volumes and capacity requirements.

I should add that, in conjunction with Aer Rianta, who manage the State airports on my behalf, capacity requirements at the three State airports are kept under continual review by my Department.
