Vol. 455 No. 1

Written Answers. - Beef Tribunal Costs.

Ivor Callely

Question:

145 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the claims for costs which have been submitted for payment by the solicitors representing clients involved in the beef tribunal; the total amount sought by each solicitor for their clients; the names of the companies; and the solicitors acting and the names of their clients. [11695/95]

The total costs paid to date in respect of legal fees for counsel representing the State or the tribunal at the Tribunal of Inquiry into the Beef Processing Industry are £7,540,603. It is understood that other claims have been submitted to the Chief State Solicitor's office to be taxed by the taxing master. Details of these claims can be got from that office.
