82 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of chairpersons of State boards who are specifically nominated by the Government as opposed to elected by the board members themselves; and the number, name and date of appointment of women nominated by the Government to serve as chairpersons of State boards. The Deputy should table questions to the appropriate Ministers in respect of the number of chairpersons of State boards under their aegis who are specifically nominated by Government, as opposed to elected by the board members themselves. In so far as the question relates to my area of responsibility there are two boards under my aegis, both of which are chaired by women, and both of which are ministerial appointments.
