227 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if she will consider the amalgamation of two schools (details supplied) in County Tipperary due to falling numbers; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13147/95]

In view of the very low enrolment in one of the schools referred to by the Deputy, my Department will be in communication shortly with the management of that school regarding its future.
