Vol. 456 No. 1

Written Answers. - Mycoplasma Bovis.

Brian Cowen

Question:

163 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of instances of mycoplasma bovis that occurred last year in our national herd; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13383/95]

Mycoplasma bovis is not a notifiable disease and no cases came to the notice of my Department in 1994. One case was detected, however, in 1993 and seven have been observed in 1995 to date.
