124 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment the total amount of moneys spent in the Dublin area on roads in 1994; the revenue generated from road tax; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13515/95]

Expenditure on roads in the Dublin area (Dublin county borough and the counties of Fingal, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown, and South Dublin) in 1994, including estimated expenditure by the local authorities from their own resources, was £45.4 million. £65.2 million was collected in 1994 in the area in the form of road tax.
