35 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Education the steps, if any, being taken to investigate the reasons for, and to avoid a repeat of, the marking problems in respect of art in the 1995 leaving certificate; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13493/95]
An investigation into the reasons for the marking problems that occurred in respect of the leaving certificate art higher level examination is being carried out by a very senior official of my Department. I expect to receive a report in the very near future. After considering this report I will take appropriate measures to ensure that the problem does not occur in the future.
