Written Answers. - Naas (Kildare) Hospital.
Limerick East): Consultations have taken place between my Department and the Eastern Health Board regarding the future development of Naas Hospital. Arising from these consultations, the health board prepared a revised set of proposals for the next phase of development at the hospital.
These revised proposals were received in my Department in recent days. The Deputy will appreciate that they will require detailed examination before a decision is made regarding the proposed development. This process is now under way. Any decision, however, regarding the funding of this development, must have regard to the availability of resources for capital projects generally and to the competing claims on those resources.
