Question:

58 Mr. Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will have arrangements made to complete the formalities to permit persons (details supplied) to enter Ireland following their long stay at a very poorly resourced refugee camp in Turkey. [15290/95]

Applications of this nature are considered by the board of the Refugee Agency. The board has examined the application in question but considers that additional information on some aspects of the case is required to enable a final decision to be taken. This information was requested in July 1995 from the relevant international organisation. A reply is awaited. On receipt of the outstanding information, a decision will be taken without delay.
