182 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade if he has made any announcement since 15 December 1994, regarding the location or relocation of any institution, organisation, project or scheme involving public funds which comes under the aegis of his Department in his Dáil constituency; if any of his Minister(s) of State have made similar announcements in relation to their Dáil constituencies; if he will give details of these announcements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Tourism and Trade (Mr. E. Kenny)

Since 15 December 1994, I have made some 15 press announcements principally regarding grant approvals by the independent management boards set up to decide on the allocation of funds under the Operational Programme for Tourism 1994-99. Of the 136 projects covered by the approvals, five involved the upgrading of facilities in my constituency.

The Minister of State at my Department has made two similar announcements which included the development of two sea angling centres in his constituency.
