Seán Haughey

Question:

196 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he has made any announcement since 15 December 1994, regarding the location or relocation of any institution, organisation, project or scheme involving public funds, which comes under the aegis of his Department, in his Dáil constituency; if any of his Minister(s) of State have made similar announcements in relation to their Dáil constituencies; if he will give details of these announcements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15398/95]

The Government made a decision on 26 July 1995 to relocate 350 Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry staff in new office premises to be constructed at Johnstown Castle, County Wexford.

In the Farmers' Charter launched by the Taoiseach in April 1995 there is provision for the building of a new local office for the Department in Enniscorthy and several other locations throughout the country.
