Question:75 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Finance the number of people that have now availed of the seed capital relief under the business expansion scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15416/95]
Written Answers. - Seed Capital Relief.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that refunds under the seed capital scheme have been issued to 74 individuals in respect of investments in 63 separate companies. Applications in relation to a further 11 companies, involving investments by 15 individuals, which have been certified by a certifying agency have been received by the Revenue Commissioners and are currently being processed.
The Finance Act 1995 contains a number of provisions to make the scheme more attractive and flexible to potential users.
