Vol. 457 No. 5

Written Answers. - Travel Costs.

Ivor Callely

Question:

102 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the costs which have been paid out for flights, hotel reservations and other costs incurred to date by his Department in respect of proposed participants at meetings and conferences, where such participants did not avail of the arranged bookings; if he will give a breakdown in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15785/95]

In only one case was a cancellation fee incurred. This related to the booking of a conference in London where the participant was not subsequently able to attend due to urgent Department business. A cancellation fee of Stg£58.70 was incurred.
