67 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will extend the opening hours of the Botanic Gardens, particularly during the summer months when access is denied to residents after their day's work and they are unable to enjoy the amenity of the gardens. [15886/95]

I have no plans at present to extend the opening hours at the National Botanic Gardens. The position will be reviewed however following completion of the development works at the gardens scheduled to be undertaken over the next three years.
