Mary Coughlan

147 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment the efforts, if any, being made by his Department to have funding made available for the Donegal waste water scheme. [15074/95]

Dinny McGinley

Question:

148 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Bundoran, County Donegal. [15025/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 13, 147 and 148 together. An application for the Donegal Bay wastewater management scheme, which includes the Bundoran sewerage scheme, was submitted to the European Commission for assistance under the Cohesion Fund in December 1994. Financial approval of the scheme must await the outcome of this application. My Department has been pressing the Commission for early decisions on this and other pending water and sewerage proposals, and I have taken the matter up with the Commissioner responsible for Regional Development.
