Vol. 457 No. 7

Written Answers. - Driving Licence Statistics

Máirín Quill

Question:

178 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment the percentage of driving licences currently held by both men and women under 21 years of age. [16323/95]

This information is not available. It may be of assistance, however, to the Deputy to know that 24 per cent of those who sat a driving test in 1994 were 21 years of age or under. The male/female breakdown for such tests was 55 per cent and 45 per cent respectively.
