222 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education the approval, if any, she has given to an application from a school (details supplied) in Dublin 11 for funding for a new tarmac cover on the school yard; the cost and timetable for this work; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not yet approved grant sanction to have a new tarmac cover laid on the school yard at the school to which the Deputy refers. Before grant approval can issue my Department requires precise confirmation of the area to be covered and the cost of the work. When this information has been received, my Department will be in touch with the school authorities.
