Vol. 457 No. 7

Written Answers. - Farm Retirement Pension.

John O'Leary

Question:

303 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the cause of the delay in issuing a letter of approval to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry under the farm retirement pensions scheme and installation aid grants scheme, in which case all the documents were relodged by the solicitor on 9 June 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16260/95]

The application for the farm retirement pension was received in this case on 15 May 1995. However the required documentation was not received until the 12 June 1995. Arrangements have been made by my Department to commence payment of the pension at the end of November 1995. It will take effect from 12 June 1995. Processing of the application was delayed due to pressures of other work.

An installation aid application received on 2 November 1995 is being processed.
