Vol. 457 No. 7

Written Answers. - Movement of Traders.

Gerard Collins

Question:

32 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has to prevent convoys of traders moving from one part of the country to the other with consequent serious disruption to traffic. [16198/95]

There is adequate provision in road traffic legislation to allow the gardaí to take action in relation to any driving practice which is considered to constitute careless or dangerous driving. I do not see a need to introduce any further measures to deal with the matter referred to in the question.
