Vol. 458 No. 5

Written Answers. - School Placement.

Tony Gregory

Question:

145 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education, arising from her reply to Parliamentary Question 229 of 20 September 1995, if the child in question has been placed in a second-level school; and if not, the further action, if any, she can take to assist this child. [17444/95]

My Department is continuing its inquiries in this case. Cases such as this can take a significant amount of time to resolve because they require consultations with bodies outside my Department. However, my Department is hopeful that the pupil concerned will be placed in a school in his locality shortly. I will advise the Deputy of developments in due course.
