119 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education the number of home liaison teachers appointed in each county to date. [17209/95]

Since the introduction of the home school community liaison scheme into primary level in 1990, a total of 105 liaison co-ordinators have been appointed. The breakdown in county order is as follows: Cork, 15; Dublin, 70; Galway, 3; Limerick, 7; Louth, 3; Waterford, 5 and Wicklow, 2.

Since the introduction of the scheme into second level in 1991, a total of 88 liaison co-ordinators have been appointed. The breakdown in county order is as follows: Cork, 10; Dublin, 52; Galway, 4; Limerick, 5; Louth, 5; Mayo, 1; Tipperary, 1; Waterford, 5; Wexford, 3 and Wicklow, 2.
