Question:

70 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the floor of the gymnasium at Ramsgrange community school was recently covered with a material specified by her Department; if her attention has further been drawn to the fact that there is a problem with dampness and there is a substance oozing through the welds of the floor covering in a number of locations; the reason for this problem; the proposals, if any, she has for correcting this problem to enable pupils of the school to make full use of the gym; the source of funding for replacement of the floor; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am aware of the problems relating to the floor of the gymnasium at Ramsgrange community school.

The matter is currently being addressed in my Department.

Following evaluation of the situation my Department will be in contact with the board of management.
