Question:139 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education the number of part-time teachers/lecturers employed by each regional technical college and the Dublin Institute of Technology in the academic year 1994/1995; the percentage which taught less than eight hours per week in each college in this period; the percentage of the lecturing/teaching which was carried out by part-time, excluding eligible part-time, staff in each college in this period; the percentage of lecturing/teaching which was carried out by whole-time staff as extra work for which they were paid additional salary in the same year; and if she has satisfied herself that the terms of the Regular Part-Time Employees Act, 1991, are being fully implemented by the regional technical college/DIT sector, in particular as to whether the staff concerned have written terms and conditions as required by the Act.
